Når nu Hello Monday mandag vandt både guld og sølv i digital design, så indikerer det, at håndværket holder. Det blev bekræftet onsdag eftermiddag, da bureauet vandt sølv i Digital Craft Lions for selvsamme case; Fingerspelling with machine learning.
Det blev også til en bronzeløve i kategorien, idet Virtue og No Sleeps storytelling for DDR-museet nok engang modtog en jurys anerkendelse.
Digital Craft havde modtaget 703 arbejder til bedømmelse, og de blev bedømt kritisk: Der var i snit en løve til hvert 25. arbejde.
Der er to dage tilbage af årets Cannes Lions, men allerede nu kan der gøres status, for shortlisterne i alle kategorier er blevet offentliggjort. 34 nominerede arbejder har Denmark som afsenderland, mens andre 12 arbejder har krediteret danske bureauer – 46 nomineringer i alt.
De 34 shortlister med Danmark som afsender skal ses i forhold til de 255 danske indsendelser til årets festival. Godt 13 pct. af de danske arbejder kom på shortlisten. Det er faktisk en høj andel.
Til Cannes Lions var der i år indsendt 29.078 arbejder, og 2647 kom på shortlisten – svarende til 9 pct. Dette understreger ikke kun, at danske bureauer hæver sig over branche-standarden, når det gælder shortlister, men også at det er en præstation i sig selv at blive nomineret.
